probably not gonna hit the mainstream

in robinson devor's new(semi)-documentary “zoo,"he explores a community of famers and friends (all men who live about 45 minutes southeast of seattle), who gather together and show their "love" of animals...they might have too much love- i'm gonna be honest. it centers around a man from this community who died from a perforated colon when he attempted to have sex with a horse. luckily for us, devor doesn't get too graphic with those images. even so i find myself wondering: in a world where we treat animals as inanimate, disposable commodities- is this really so bad...is it really any worse? read more about the film (which i don't believe will be opening nationwide) here- http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/25/movies/25zoo.html?bl&ex=1177646400&en=10b7387b3de4d32b&ei=5087%0A

so today is good friday which means there are two distinct choices.

1) worship jesus in a conventional (stuffy) sort of way comme ça:

2) imagine (if you will) jesus resurrected in the '70's unaware of the fact that he is in a musical rendition of the last week of his life, comme ça:

sidenote: in the seventh grade i wanted the double-disk original 1973 broadway recording of jesus christ superstar but i had no money. so my mom offered me a trade: she would buy me the album if i did all of my own laundry from there on out. i thought this seemed very fair and resonable..... i still think to myself sometimes- yes! best trade ever!

cute or sad?

so after very little deliberation and/or evidence, the jury is finally in......
it's sad.

when are we going to knock down the walls of all of the quiznos (and the like) and say "enough!" and let the coyotes run free?!

oh and you can forget about tyra banks actually showing her breasts. she is just not gonna do it.

sometimes the internet is bad

so if anyone is interested in going in on a set of christian puppets let me know, 'cause they are kind of pricey. who knew you'd have to pay such a high price for a real christian puppet? also if you click on the puppet above 3rd on the right it comes up as "Black Boy in Red Sunny Jeans Shirt"- well that seems like a loving and thoughtful way to refer to a christian puppet. can't we give them names people? like joseph or....jesus or.... something? hmmm...christian + puppet.......there is irony there somewhere.
